Deuteronomy_Chapter 13

If any prophet or dreamer among you rises up and shows you a miracle or wonder,

I say to you, let’s go and follow other gods that you never knew, and serve them. Although his miracles and wonders have been fulfilled,

You must not listen to the words of the prophet or the dreamer. For this is the Lord your God testing you, knowing that you love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul.

Obey the Lord your God, fear him, keep his commandments, obey his voice, serve him, and trust in him.

If the prophet or the dreamer rebelles with words against the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of slavery, to lure you out of the way that the Lord your God commanded you to do, then you shall put him to death. So, eliminate that evil from among you.

If your fellow countrymen, or your children, or your wife in your arms, or your friends who are like your life, secretly tempt you, saying, Let us go and serve other gods that you and your ancestors have never known before

It is the gods of the nations around you. Whether it is God who is close to you, far from you, from one side of the earth to the other,

You shall not follow him, nor obey him, and your eyes shall not pity him. You don’t pity him, nor do you cover him up,

Always kill him. You take action first, and then all the people also take action to put him to death.

You must stone him to death, because he wants to lure you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt as a slave.

All Israel will hear and be afraid, and will not dare to do such evil among you again.

If you hear anyone say that some bandits have come out of one of the cities among you to seduce the residents of your own city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods that you have never known.

You must inquire, investigate, and examine carefully. Indeed, it is true, and this detestable thing must be done among you,

You will use the sword to kill the residents of that city, and you will kill all the livestock in the city with the sword.

All the plunder you take from that city shall be piled up in the streets, and the city and all the plunder inside shall be burned up with fire before the Lord your God. That city will forever be a pile of ruins and cannot be built again.

That thing that is destroyed cannot even stick to your hand at all. Obey the voice of the Lord your God, keep all the commandments that I command you today, and do what is right in the eyes of the Lord your God. Then the Lord will change his mind, not be angry, show kindness to you, have mercy on you, and increase your number according to his oath to your ancestors.
