Deuteronomy_Chapter 12
These are the laws and regulations that you must observe and follow in the land that the Lord, the God of your ancestors, has given you as an inheritance, while you live in this world,
Destroy every place where the people who are driven out serve God, whether it be in the high mountains, in the small mountains, or under every green tree.
I will also demolish their altars, smash their pillars, burn their wooden poles with fire, cut down their carved gods, and destroy their names from that place.
You shall not serve the Lord your God as they do.
But what place has the Lord your God chosen from among your tribes as a place to place his name? Go and ask where you will go,
Bring your burnt offerings, peace offerings, tithes, and offerings in your hands, as well as vows, sacrifices, and the firstborn of cattle and sheep.
There, before the Lord your God, you and your families may eat, and you may rejoice because the Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands.
What we are doing here today is that each person does what is right in their own eyes, and you shall not do so in the future.
Because you have not yet arrived at the resting place and the inheritance that the Lord your God has given you.
But when you have crossed the Jordan River, you will be able to dwell in the land that the Lord your God has given you as an inheritance, and you will have peace and not be disturbed by all your enemies around you, living in peace.
At that time, I will bring all the burnt offerings, peace offerings, tithes, and the lifting offerings in my hand that I have commanded you, as well as all the good offerings that I have made a vow to the Lord, to the dwelling place that the Lord your God will choose to make his name.
You, your children, your servants and maidservants, and the Levites who live in your cities without any division or inheritance, shall rejoice before the Lord your God.
Be careful not to offer burnt offerings wherever you see them.
But in the place that the Lord has chosen from your tribe, you shall offer burnt offerings there and do all that I command you.
However, in all your cities, according to the blessing that the Lord your God has given you, you can slaughter and eat meat as you please. Both clean and unclean individuals can eat it, just like eating antelopes and deer.
But do not eat blood, pour it on the ground like pouring water.
You shall not eat a tenth of your grain, new wine, or oil, or the firstborn of your herds or flocks, or the offerings you make, willingly offer, or the offerings in your hands, in your city.
But you shall eat it before the Lord your God, in the place chosen by the Lord your God, you and your children, your servants and maidservants, and the Levites living in your city. And rejoice before the Lord your God in the work of your hands.
Be careful not to abandon the Levites in your place of residence.
When the Lord your God expands your territory as he promised, your heart desires to eat meat, saying, I will eat meat, so that you can eat meat as you please.
If the place where the Lord your God has chosen to establish his name is too far from you, then as I have commanded you, take some of the cattle and sheep that the Lord has given you and slaughter them, and you can eat them in your city as you please.
You should eat that meat like eating antelopes and deer. Both clean and unclean individuals can eat it.
You just need to be firm in your heart and not eat blood, because blood is life. Do not eat blood (original meaning life) together with meat.
Do not eat blood, pour it on the ground like pouring water.
Do not eat blood. So that you may do what is right in the eyes of the Lord, and you and your descendants may be blessed.
But the things you have consecrated and your vow offering shall be brought to the place chosen by the Lord.
Your burnt offering, both flesh and blood, shall be offered on the altar of the Lord your God. The blood of the peace offering shall be poured out on the altar of the Lord your God. You can eat the meat of the Ping An Festival yourself.
You must keep and obey all my commands, and do what is good and right in the eyes of the Lord your God. In this way, you and your descendants can enjoy happiness forever.
The Lord your God has cut off the nations you are about to drive out from before you, and you have taken possession of their land to dwell in,
At that time, be careful not to follow their evil customs and fall into a trap after they are eradicated, nor to visit their gods and say, ‘As these nations serve their gods, I will do the same.’.
Do not do this to the Lord your God, for they have done everything that the Lord detests and hates, even burning their own children with fire and offering them to their God.
Whatever I command you, you must observe and do it diligently, and do not add or delete anything.
