After all this was done, all the Israelites who were there went to the cities of Judah, smashed the pillars, cut down the wooden poles, and completely destroyed the high places and altars throughout Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh. So all Israel went back to their cities and to their respective lands.

Hezekiah appointed the divisions of the priests and Levites, offering burnt offerings and peace offerings according to their respective positions, and serving in the gates of the camp of the Lord, giving thanks and praising the Lord.

The king also set a portion out of his own inheritance as burnt offerings, which are the morning and evening burnt offerings, as well as the Sabbath, the new moon, and the festival burnt offerings, according to the law of the Lord.

And he commanded the people living in Jerusalem to give them the portion that the priests and Levites should receive, so that they may wholeheartedly abide by the law of the Lord.

As soon as the edict was issued, the Israelites brought a large amount of the first ripe grain, new wine, oil, honey, and the produce of the fields, and also brought a very large amount of one tenth of each item.

The Israelites and Jews who lived in all the cities of Judah also brought tithes of cattle and sheep, as well as tithes of holy things to the Lord their God, and piled them up in piles.

It starts from March and ends in July.

Hezekiah and the leaders came and saw the pile, and praised the Lord and blessed the people of the Lord, the Israelites.

Hezekiah asked the priests and Levites about this pile of fortifications.

Azariah, the high priest of the house of Zadok, answered, “Since the people brought their offerings to the temple of the Lord, we have not only eaten enough, but also left a lot.”. Because the Lord has blessed his people, and only then will what remains be so abundant.

Hezekiah ordered the preparation of warehouses in the temple of the Lord, and they prepared them.

They sincerely moved the offerings and one tenth of the items, each being a sacred item, into the warehouse. Gonaniah the Levite was in charge of this matter, and his brother Shimei was in charge.

Jehiel, Asaziah, Naha, Asahel, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismachiah, Mahah, and Benaiah were all supervisors under the command of King Hezekiah and Azariah, who was in charge of the temple of God, under the command of Gonaniah and his brother Shimei.

Kori, the son of Imnah, a Levite who guarded the east gate, was in charge of offering willingly to God, distributing offerings to the Lord and the most holy things.

Under his command were Eden, Minjamin, Jeshua, Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah, who held important positions in all the cities of the priests. They were given to their brothers, big and small, according to their divisions.

According to the genealogy, males over three years old who enter the temple of the Lord every day and serve according to their shifts will also be given to them.

And they were divided among the priests according to the genealogy of their families, and among the Levites twenty years old and above according to their ranks and positions,

According to the family genealogy, they were divided among their wives and children in the assembly. Because they hold important positions and consecrate themselves.

The people appointed by name shall give their portion to the descendants of Aaron, living in the suburbs of each city, to all the male priests, and to all the Levites who are recorded in their genealogy.

Hezekiah did this throughout Judah, doing what was good and right and faithful in the eyes of the Lord his God.

Everything he does, whether it is to do the work of the temple, to keep the law and commandments, or to seek his God, is done with all his heart and prospers.
