Brothers, I have something else to say. Through the Lord Jesus, we pray and advise you that since you have received our teaching and know how to do it to please God, you will be encouraged even more according to what you are doing now.

You know what commands we have given you through the Lord Jesus.

The will of God is to make you holy and to avoid fornication.

Let each of you know how to use holiness and honor to guard your own body.

The evil emotions of not indulging in personal desires are like those of the Gentiles who do not know God.

Don’t let one person get too divided in this matter and bully their brothers. Because of such things, the Lord will repay them, as I have previously told you and strongly charged you.

God did not call us to be defiled, but to become holy.

So those who reject are not those who reject people, but those who reject the God who gave you the Holy Spirit.

When it comes to brotherly love, there is no need for anyone to write to you, because you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another.

You have indeed done this to all the brothers in Macedonia, but I urge them to be even more encouraged.

And aspire to be a quiet person, to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you before.

If you can behave properly towards others, then you will have nothing to lack.

As for those who have fallen asleep, we do not want our brothers not to know, lest you be sorrowful, like those who have no hope.

If we believe that Jesus died and was resurrected, God will also bring those who have already slept in Jesus with him.

We will tell you something according to the Lord’s words now. We, who are still alive until the arrival of the Lord, must not be before those who have already fallen asleep.

For the Lord himself will come from heaven, with a cry and the voice of the archangel, and the trumpet of God sounding. Those who have died in Christ will first be resurrected.

In the future, we who are still alive will be lifted up into the clouds together with them, and we will meet the Lord in the air. In this way, we will always be with the Lord.

So you should use these words to comfort each other.
