Peter, the apostle of Jesus Christ, wrote a letter to those who were scattered in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia.

He is chosen according to the foresight of God the Father, and sanctified through the Holy Spirit, to submit to Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with his blood. May grace and peace be greatly bestowed upon you.

Praise be to the Father God of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to his great mercy, has resurrected us from the dead through Jesus Christ, giving us lively hope,

May you obtain an inheritance that is incorruptible, not defiled, not withered, and preserved in heaven for you.

You, who are guarded by God’s power through faith, will receive the salvation that has been prepared and will be revealed in the end times.

Therefore, you have great joy, but now, in all kinds of trials, you are temporarily sad.

Let your faith, once tested, be more precious than the gold that is tested by fire and can still be destroyed. You can receive praise, glory, and honor when Jesus Christ appears.

You may not have met him, but you love him. Although he cannot see it now, there is great joy full of glory that cannot be spoken of because of faith in him.

And with the fruit of your faith, it is the salvation of the soul.

As for this salvation, the prophets who prophesied that you would receive grace have already sought and examined it in detail.

It is to examine the spirit of Christ in their hearts, to prove in advance when Christ suffered and later became glorified, and to what extent.

They received revelation that all the things they preached were not for themselves, but for you. Those who preach the gospel to you through the Holy Spirit sent from heaven are now reporting these things to you. Angels are also willing to examine these things in detail.

So bind your hearts and waist, be cautious and self disciplined, and focus on the grace that Jesus Christ will bring to you when he appears.

Since you are obedient children, do not imitate the way you indulged in your own desires in the past when you were ignorant.

He who calls you is holy, and you must also be holy in all your actions.

Because it is written in the scripture that you shall be holy, for I am holy.

If you call the Lord, who does not show favoritism towards others and judges them according to their deeds, Father, then let your hearts be filled with reverence and spend your days as sojourners in this world.

Knowing that you have been redeemed and stripped of the vain deeds of your ancestors, it is not based on perishable things such as gold and silver.

It is through the precious blood of Christ, like the blood of a flawless and defiled lamb.

Christ was known to God beforehand before the creation of the world, but it was only in this last time that he appeared to you.

You also believe in God through him, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope may lie in God.

Since you have purified your hearts by obeying the truth, so that you love your brothers without falsehood, let us truly love each other from within. From the ancient scroll in the heart, from the clean heart

You have been reborn not from perishable seeds, but from perishable seeds, through the living and enduring word of God.

For all flesh is like grass, and their beauty is like the flowers on the grass. Grass will wither, flowers will wither.

The way of the Lord is eternal. This is the gospel that is preached to you.
