psalm_Chapter 132
Remember, O Lord, all the suffering that David has suffered.
How did he swear to the Lord and make a vow to the Mighty One of Jacob,
Saying, I will not enter my tabernacle, nor go up to my bed.
I will not let my eyes sleep, nor will my eyes take a nap.
Until I find a place for the Lord and a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.
We heard that the Ark was in Ephraim, and we found it in Kiriath Jearim.
We will enter his residence and bow down at his footstool.
Arise, O Lord, and enter into your resting place with the ark of your power.
May your priests be clothed with righteousness. May your saints cheer.
Do not reject your anointed one because of your servant David.
The Lord has sworn to David in truth that he will not rebel, saying, ‘I will make your offspring sit on your throne.’.
If your sons keep my covenant and the testimonies I teach them, their descendants will sit on your throne forever.
Because the Lord has chosen Zion and is willing to make it his dwelling place,
Say, this is my eternal resting place. I want to live here because it’s what I want.
I will make its food abundant and its poor people satisfied.
I will clothe the priests with salvation, and the holy people will shout loudly.
I want to call David’s Horn, where it happened. I prepare a lamp for my anointed one.
I will put shame on his enemies. But his crown shall shine upon his head.
