So the young prophet went to Ramoth Gilead.
When they arrived there, they saw all the commanders sitting and said, General, I have something to say to you. Jehu said, “Which of us will you speak to?”? Answer, General, I want to tell you.
Jehu got up and entered the house. The young man poured oil on his head and said to him, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says:’ I anoint you as the king of the Lord’s people Israel. ‘.
You shall strike down the whole house of your master Ahab, so that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets and all the servants of the Lord on Jezebel.
All the house of Ahab shall perish, and I will cut off from Israel every male belonging to Ahab, whether he be trapped or free,
Make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam son of Nebat, and like the house of Bashar son of Ahijah.
Jezebel will be eaten by dogs in the field of Jezreel, and there will be no one to bury him. After speaking, the young man opened the door and ran away.
When Jehu came out and returned to his master’s servants, a man asked him, “Is it safe?”? What’s up with this arrogant person coming to see you? Answer: You recognize that person and know what he said.
They said it’s a lie, you tell us truthfully. Answer: He said so to me. He said, Thus says the Lord, I anoint you king of Israel.
They quickly spread their clothes on the upper steps, so that Jehu could sit on them. They blew the horn and said, ‘Jehu has become king.’.
So Jehu, the son of Jehoshaphat, the grandson of Ningshi, rebelled against Joram. Firstly, Joram and all Israel guarded Ramoth Gilead because of Hazael king of Aram.
But King Joram returned to Jezreel and healed the wounds he had suffered in the battle with King Hazael of Aram. Jehu said, “If it suits your wishes, let no one escape from the city and report to Jezreel.”.
So Jehu rode in a carriage to Jezreel, because Joram was lying there sick. King Ahaziah of Judah has gone down to visit him.
A watchman stood upstairs in Jezreel and saw Jehu bringing a group of people. He said, “I saw a group of people.”. And Joram said, Send a rider to meet them, and ask, Is there peace.
And the horsemen went to meet Jehu, saying, The king asked, Is there peace. Jehu said, What do you have to do with peace or not. You turn behind me. The watchman also said, The messenger has come to them, but has not returned.
The king sent another rider to go. This man came to them and said, ‘The king asked,’ Is it safe? ‘. Jehu said, What do you have to do with peace or not. You turn behind me.
The watchman also said, He has arrived at their place and will not come back. The car drove fiercely, like the driving method of Jehu, the grandson of Ningshi.
Joram ordered to set up the carriage. Just give him a car set. King Joram of Israel and King Ahaziah of Judah each rode out in their own chariots to meet Jehu, and they met him in the field of Naboth the Jezreelite.
When Joram saw Jehu, he said, “Is it safe, Jehu?”? Jehu said, “How can your mother Jezebel be safe with so many lewd practices and witchcraft?”?
And Joram turned his chariot and fled, saying to Ahaziah, Ahaziah, he has rebelled.
Jehu filled his bow and shot Joram on the back. The arrow pierced through his heart, and Joram fell on the chariot.
Jehu said to his commander Bicar, ‘Throw him into the field of Naboth the Jezreelite.’. Remember the prophecy that the Lord prophesied to Ahab when we rode together in a chariot and followed his father Ahab,
I saw the blood of Naboth and the blood of his sons yesterday, and I will repay you in this field. This is what the Lord has said: now, according to the word of the Lord, cast him into this field.
When King Ahaziah of Judah saw this sight, he fled by the way of the garden pavilion. Jehu chased after him and said, ‘Kill this man also in the car.’. Arrived near the slope of Gur in Ebraim and injured him. He fled to Miguel and died there.
His servants drove his body to Jerusalem and buried it in his own tomb in the city of David, alongside his ancestors.
When Ahaziah became king of Judah, it was in the eleventh year of Joram son of Ahab.
Jehu arrived at Jezreel. When Jezebel heard this, he wiped his powder, combed his hair, and looked out the window.
When Jehu entered the door, Jezebel said, “Is it safe, Zilliel, who killed his master?”?
Jehu looked up at the window and said, “Who has followed me?”. Two or three eunuchs looked out the window at him.
Yahu said, throw her down. They threw her down. Her blood splattered on the walls and horses. So he trampled on her.
Jehu went in, ate and drank, and commanded, saying, Bury this cursed woman, for she is the king’s daughter.
They went to bury her, only found her skull, feet, and palms.
They went back and told Jehu, saying, This is what the Lord said through his servant Elijah the Tisbite, saying, In the field of Jezreel, dogs will eat Jezebel’s flesh.
The body of Jezebel will be like dung in the field of Jezreel, so that no one can say it is Jezebel.
