Isaiah_Chapter 39

At that time, Mirodabaladan, the son of King Baladan of Babylon, heard that Hezekiah had recovered from illness and sent him letters and gifts.

Hezekiah pleased to see the messengers and showed them the gold, silver, spices, precious ointment, and all the weapons and treasures of his treasury. There is nothing in his family or throughout the country that Hezekiah does not show them.

So the prophet Isaiah came to King Hezekiah and asked him, “What do these people say?”? Where did they come to see you? Hezekiah said, They have come to me from Babylon far away.

Isaiah said, What did they see in your house? Hezekiah said, They have seen everything in my house, and there is nothing in my treasure that I do not show them.

Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Listen to the word of the Lord of hosts.”.

The day will come, and all that is in your house, and all that your ancestors have stored up to this day, will be taken captive to Babylon, leaving nothing behind, says the Lord.

And among the sons born of you, there will be those who will be taken captive and become eunuchs in the palace of Babylon.

Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “The word of the Lord that you have spoken is good, for in my days there will be peace and stability.”.
