Isaiah_Chapter 13
Isaiah, the son of Amoz, prophesied about Babylon.
A big flag should be erected on the mountain of pure light, waving loudly to the masses and allowing them to enter the gates of the nobles.
I command the people I have selected. I call upon my warriors, the proud and proud ones, to accomplish what I have set in my anger.
There are voices of many people in the mountains, as if they are the people of a great country. There are voices of people from many countries gathering and shouting. This is the Lord of armies ordering his army to prepare for war.
They come from afar, from the edge of heaven, the Lord and the weapons of his wrath, to destroy all this earth.
Wail, for the day of the Lord is approaching. This day has arrived, as if destruction has come from the Almighty.
So every hand will be weak, and every heart will digest.
They will be terrified and sorrowful. Sorrow will surely catch them. They are in pain, like a woman in labor. They looked at each other in surprise, their faces like flames.
The day of the Lord will come, and there will be cruelty, wrath, and fierce anger. Make this land desolate, eliminate sinners from it.
The stars and constellations in the sky do not shine. As soon as the sun rises, it becomes dark, and the moon does not shine.
I will punish the world for evil, and punish the wicked for sin. To put an end to the arrogance of the proud, and to subdue the arrogance of the violent.
I will make people even less than pure gold, and even less than pure gold in Ophir.
On the day of my fierce anger, the Lord of hosts, I will shake the heavens and shake the earth from their place.
People will be like deer being chased, like sheep that have no one to gather, each returning to their own tribe and fleeing to their own land.
Anyone who is pursued by the enemy will be stabbed to death. Anyone caught will be killed by the sword.
Their babies will be shattered before their eyes. Their houses will be plundered. Their wives will be defiled.
I will stir up the Medes to attack them. The Medes did not value silver and did not love gold.
They will smash young men with their bows, showing no mercy on the offspring of women, and their eyes will not spare children.
Babylon, which has always been the glory of the nations and the glory of the Chaldeans, will be like Sodom and Gomorrah, which God overthrew.
There will always be no one to smoke inside, and no one will live there for generations. The Arabs did not set up tents there either. The shepherd does not let the flock lie there.
Only the wild beasts lay there. Roaring beasts filled the house. Ostriches live there. Wild goats are dancing there.
The jackal and wolf will call out in his palace. Wild dogs will roar in his magnificent palace. The time of Babylon’s punishment is approaching, and his days will not last long.
