Genesis_Chapter 45
Joseph couldn’t help but command in front of the people standing on both sides, saying, Everyone must leave me and go out. When Joseph recognized his brothers, no one stood in front of him.
He burst out crying loudly, and both the Egyptians and the people of Pharaoh’s house heard it.
Joseph said to his brothers, I am Joseph. Is my father still here? His brothers were unable to answer because they were all in fear before him.
And Joseph said to his brothers, Come near. They came closer. He said, I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt.
Now, don’t worry or hate yourself for selling me here. This is God sending me before you to preserve your life.
The famine in this area has been two years now, and there are still five years left without cultivation or harvest.
God sent me before you to preserve a surplus seed for you in the world, and to deliver great salvation and preserve your lives.
It seems that it is not you who sent me here, but God. He also made me like Pharaoh’s father, the ruler of his entire family and the ruler of all the land of Egypt.
You should hurry up to my father’s place. And he said to him, This is what your son Joseph said: God has made me Lord over all Egypt, come down to me, do not delay.
You, my son and grandson, your cattle and sheep, and everything you have, can live in the land of Goshen, near me.
I will take care of you there. Because there will still be five years of famine, so that you, your family, and everything else will not fall.
Moreover, both your eyes and the eyes of my brother Benjamin saw that I spoke to you with my own mouth.
You must also tell my father all my glory in Egypt and all the things you have seen, and quickly bring my father to me.
So Joseph fell on his brother Benjamin’s neck and wept, and Benjamin also wept on his neck.
He kissed his brothers again and wept while holding them, and then his brothers spoke to him.
The news spread to Pharaoh’s palace, saying, Joseph’s brothers have come. The pharaoh and his servants liked it very much.
Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Command your brothers to do this: carry your burden on your livestock and get up and go to the land of Canaan.”.
Bring your father and your family to me, and I will give you the good things of the land of Egypt, and you will eat the fat produce of the land.
Now I command you to do this: bring vehicles from Egypt and bring your children, your wives, and your fathers.
Do not cherish your furniture in your eyes, for all the beauty of Egypt belongs to you.
The sons of Israel did so. Joseph gave them vehicles and food for the road, as Pharaoh instructed,
And he gave each of them a set of clothing, but he gave Benjamin three hundred silver and five sets of clothing.
Give his father ten male donkeys carrying the treasures of Egypt, and ten female donkeys carrying grain, bread, and vegetables for his father’s journey.
So Joseph sent his brothers back and said to them, “Do not argue on the road.”.
They went up from Egypt and came to their father Jacob in the land of Canaan,
Tell him that Joseph is still alive and will be the ruler of all the land of Egypt. Jacob’s heart was cold because he did not believe them.
They told him everything Joseph had said to them. Their father Jacob saw Joseph sending a vehicle to pick him up again, and his heart was awakened.
Israel said, it’s okay. It’s just that. My son Joseph is still alive. Before I die, I will go and see him.
