Jotham was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem for sixteen years. His mother’s name was Jerushah, the daughter of Zadok.

Jotham did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father Uzziah did, but he did not enter the temple of the Lord. The people still engage in secluded practices.

Jotham built the gate of the temple of the Lord, and many were built on the city of Ophel,

And he built cities in the mountains of Judah, and built fortresses and towers in the forest.

Jotham fought against the king of the children of Ammon and defeated them. In the same year, they presented a tribute of one hundred talents of silver, ten thousand koels of wheat, and ten thousand koels of barley. The same goes for the second and third years.

Jotham walked in the right path before the Lord his God, and became stronger day by day.

He was twenty-five years old when he ascended to the throne and reigned in Jerusalem for sixteen years.

Jotham slept with his ancestors and was buried in the city of David. His son Ahaz succeeded him as king.
