Afterwards, David attacked the Philistines, subdued them, and took Gath and its villages from under their command.

And they attacked Moab again, and the Moabites surrendered to David and brought tribute to him.

King Hadadezer of Zor went to the Euphrates to strengthen his kingdom, and David attacked him as far as Hamath,

He took one thousand of his chariots, seven thousand of his cavalry, and twenty thousand of his infantry, and cut off the hooves of the horses pulling the chariots, but left behind a hundred chariot horses.

The Arameans of Damascus came to help King Hadarezer of Zobah, and David killed 22000 Arameans.

So David set up garrisons in the land of Aram in Damascus, and the Arameans surrendered to him and brought tribute to him. Wherever David went, the Lord gave him victory.

He took the gold shield that Hadarezer’s servants had taken and brought it to Jerusalem.

David also took a large amount of copper from the cities of Tibah and Junji in Hadadezer. Later, Solomon used this to make bronze seas, pillars, and all bronze vessels.

When King Tuau of Hamath heard that David had defeated the entire army of King Hadarezer of Zobah,

So he sent his son Hadolam to King David to greet him and bless him, because he had defeated Hadarezer. It turned out that Tou and Hadarezer were constantly at war. Hadolan brought various vessels of gold, silver, and copper.

King David consecrated these vessels and the gold and silver he had taken from various countries, including those from Edom, Moab, Ammon, the Philistines, and Amalek, to the Lord.

Abishai, the son of Zeruiah, killed 18000 Edomites in the Salt Valley.

David set up garrisons in the land of Edom, and all the Edomites surrendered to him. Wherever David went, the Lord gave him victory.

David reigned over all Israel and upheld justice and righteousness towards all the people.

Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was appointed as the commander of the army. Jehoshaphat, the son of Ahirod, served as a historian.

Zadok the son of Ahitub and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar served as the chief priests. Sha Weisha serves as the secretary.

Benaiah son of Jehoiada ruled over the Cherethites and Berethites. David’s sons were all leaders on the king’s left and right.
