Afterwards, David attacked the Philistines, subdued them, and took Gath and its villages from under their command.
And they attacked Moab again, and the Moabites surrendered to David and brought tribute to him.
King Hadadezer of Zor went to the Euphrates to strengthen his kingdom, and David attacked him as far as Hamath,
He took one thousand of his chariots, seven thousand of his cavalry, and twenty thousand of his infantry, and cut off the hooves of the horses pulling the chariots, but left behind a hundred chariot horses.

David reigned over all Israel and upheld justice and righteousness towards all the people.
Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was appointed as the commander of the army. Jehoshaphat, the son of Ahirod, served as a historian.
Zadok the son of Ahitub and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar served as the chief priests. Sha Weisha serves as the secretary.
Benaiah son of Jehoiada ruled over the Cherethites and Berethites. David’s sons were all leaders on the king’s left and right.
