Book of Ezekiel_Chapter 35
The word of the Lord came to me again, saying,
Son of man, face Mount Seir and prophesy against it,
And say to it, Thus says the Lord GOD: O Mount Seir, I am against you, and I will stretch out my hand against you, causing you to be desolate and a terror.
I will make your cities desolate and desolate. You will know that I am Jehovah.
Because you have always harbored hatred and handed over the Israelites to the sword when their sins came to an end,
Therefore, as I live forever, I will bring you bloodshed, and sin will pursue you. Since you do not hate murder and bloodshed, this sin will pursue you.
I will make Mount Seir a desolation and a terror, cutting off those who come and go.
I will fill Mount Seir with slain people. Those who are killed by the sword will fall into your small mountains and valleys, and all your streams.
I will make you forever desolate, leaving your cities uninhabited, and your people will know that I am the Lord.
For you have said, These two nations and these two nations will belong to me, and I will inherit them. (Actually, the Lord is still there)
Therefore, as I live forever, I will deal with you according to your anger and the jealousy you have shown them out of hatred, declares the Lord Jehovah. When I judge you, I will reveal myself among them.
You will also know that I, the Lord, have heard all your slander, which you have spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, These mountains are desolate and we have swallowed them up.
You also exaggerate against me with your mouth, adding words against me, and I have heard them all.
This is what the Lord has said: When the whole earth rejoices, I will make you desolate.
How do you rejoice in the desolation of the land of the house of Israel? I will do to you as you have done. Mount Seir, you and all the land of Edom will be desolate. You will know that I am the Lord.
