Suddenly, six people came from the north facing door, each holding a weapon for killing. There is a person inside wearing a fine linen robe with an ink cartridge around his waist. They came in and stood next to the copper altar.

The Lord said to him, Go and go throughout all the city of Jerusalem, and draw a mark on the forehead of those who sigh and mourn because of the detestable things that are done in the city.
In my ears, I heard him say to the others, ‘Follow him throughout the city to strike and kill.’. Do not spare your eyes, nor pity them.
Kill all the old and young, as well as virgins, infants, and women, starting from the sanctuary, but do not approach anyone with a mark. So they started killing the elders in front of the temple.
He said to them, “defile this temple and fill the courtyard with those who have been killed.”. You guys go out. They went out and killed in the city.
When they killed me, I was left behind and I fell to the ground, saying, “Hey.”. O Lord GOD, if you pour out your anger on Jerusalem, will you destroy all the remaining people of Israel?
He said to me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and the house of Judah is extremely great. There is bloodshed everywhere, and injustice throughout the city, because they say, The Lord has abandoned this land, and he cannot see us.
Therefore, my eyes will not spare or pity them; I will bring retribution upon their heads according to their deeds.
The person wearing fine linen clothes and carrying an ink cartridge around his waist replied to this matter, saying, I have done as you instructed.
