Acts of the Apostles_Chapter 12

At that time, King Herod began to persecute several members of the church.

Killed John’s brother Jacob with a knife.

He saw that the Jews were pleased with this matter and went to capture Peter. At that time, it was the day of de fermentation.

Herod took Peter and put him in prison, handing him over to four divisions of soldiers to guard, each consisting of four men, with the intention of bringing him up after the Passover and treating him in front of the people.

So Peter was imprisoned in prison. The church earnestly prayed to God for him.

The night before Herod was about to bring him out, Peter was locked in two iron chains and sleeping among two soldiers. The guards are also guarding outside the door.

Suddenly, an envoy of the Lord stood by, with a light shining in the room. The angel patted Peter on the side and woke him up, saying, Get up quickly. The iron chain fell off his hand.

The angel said to him, Tie your belt. Put on your shoes. He just did it that way. The angel said again, Put on your cloak and follow me.

Peter came out and followed him, not knowing that what the angels were doing was true, but seeing a vision.

After passing the first and second prison levels, we arrived at the iron gate facing the street. The door opened by itself. They came out and walked a street, and the angel left him.

Peter woke up and said, “I truly know that the Lord has sent his messengers to save me from the hands of Herod and all that the Jewish people hope for.”.

After some thought, he went to the house of John’s mother Mary, who was called Mark. Many people gathered there to pray.

Peter knocked on the outer door and a maid named Rhoda came out to inquire.

Upon hearing Peter’s voice, he was overjoyed and ignored the door. He ran in and told everyone that Peter was standing outside the door.

They said, you’re crazy. The maid tried her best to say that it was really him. They said, It must be his angel.

Peter kept knocking on the door. They opened the door and were very surprised when they saw him.

Peter waved his hand and did not let them remain silent, so he told them how the Lord brought him out of prison. And he said, Tell Jacob and all his brothers this matter. So he went out to another place.

At dawn, the soldiers were very disturbed and it was unclear where Peter had gone.

Herod looked for him, but couldn’t find him. He interrogated the guards and ordered them to be taken and killed. Later, Herod left Judea and went down to Caesarea to stay there.

Herod was angry with the people who pushed Rosidon. They obtained food from the king’s land in that area, so they entrusted the favor of the king’s attendant, Brastus, to seek peace with all their heart.

On the appointed day, Herod put on his royal robe and sat on his throne, giving them a speech.

The people shouted, ‘This is the voice of God, not the voice of man.’.

Herod did not give glory to God, so the angel of the Lord immediately punished him. He was bitten by insects and lost his temper.

The way of God is flourishing day by day and spreading more widely.

After completing their service, Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem and went with John named Mark.
