Zechariah_Chapter 3

And the angel showed me Joshua, the high priest, standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing on Joshua’s right side, opposing him.

The Lord said to Satan, “O Satan, the Lord rebukes you, even the Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebukes you.”. Isn’t this a stick drawn from the fire?

Joshua stood before the messengers wearing filthy clothes.

The messenger commanded those standing before him, saying, Take off his filthy clothes. And he said to Joshua, I have freed you from iniquity, and will clothe you with beautiful clothes.

I said, Put a clean crown on his head. They put a clean crown on his head and dressed him in beautiful clothes, with the angel of the Lord standing beside him.

The angel of the Lord warned Joshua, saying,

This is what the Lord of hosts says: If you walk in my ways and keep my commands, then you will be in charge of my house and take care of my courtyards. I will also make you come and go among these standing people.

Listen, Joshua the high priest, and all your companions sitting before you. They are warning signs. I will send out the descendants of my servant David.

See, the stone I have set up before Joshua has seven eyes on one stone. The Lord of hosts has said, ‘I will personally carve this stone, and in one day, I will take away the iniquity of this land.’.

On that day, each of you shall invite your neighbor to sit under the vine and fig tree. This is what the Lord of armies has said.
