Samson went to Gaza and saw a prostitute there, so he became close to her.

Someone told the people of Gaza that Samson had come here. They surrounded him in groups and ambushed him quietly at the city gate all night, saying, ‘We will kill him when dawn comes.’.

Samson slept until midnight, got up, and dismantled the doors, frames, and bolts of the city gate. He carried them on his shoulders and carried them to the top of the mountain in front of Hebron.

Later, Samson fell in love with a woman named Delilah in the Valley of Sorez.

The leaders of the Philistines went up to the woman and said to her, “Please deceive Samson and see why he has such great strength. How can we overcome him and restrain him?”. We will each give you 1100 shekels of silver.

Delilah said to Samson, “Please tell me why you have such great strength and how you should be bound and restrained.”.

Samson replied, “If a man ties me with seven unfinished green ropes, I will be weak like others.”.

So the leaders of the Philistines brought seven unfinished green ropes and handed them to the woman, and she tied Samson with the ropes.

Someone was ambushed in the woman’s inner chamber in advance. The woman said, Samson. The Philistines have brought you here. Samson broke the rope like a thread of fire. In this way, the root of his strength is still unknown to people.

Delilah said to Samson, “You have deceived me and told me lies.”. Now please tell me how to bind you.

Samson replied, “If a person binds me with a new rope that has not been used before, I will be weak like others.”.

Delilah tied him with new ropes. Tell him, Samson. The Philistines have brought you here. Someone was ambushed in the inner chamber in advance. Samson broke the rope on his arm, as if breaking a thread.

Delilah said to Samson, “Until now, you have been deceiving me and telling lies to me.”. Please tell me how to bind you. Samson replied, “If you weave the seven strands of hair on my head together with the warp, then you will be fine.”.

So Delilah wove his hair strands together with the warp, and fastened them with a pin, saying to him, Samson. The Philistines have brought you here. Samson woke up from his sleep and pulled out both the pegs and the weft thread from the machine.

Delilah said to Samson, “Since you are not with me, how can you say that you love me?”? You have been deceiving me these three times without telling me why you have such great strength.

Delilah constantly urged him with words, even causing him to feel extremely frustrated.

Samson told her all that was hidden in his heart and said to her, No one has ever shaved my head with a razor, because I have been a Nazarite to God since I was born. If I shave my hair, my strength will leave me, and I will be weak like others.

When Delilah saw that he had told her all that was hidden in his heart, she sent someone to the leaders of the Philistines and said to them, “He has already told me all that is hidden in his heart. Please come up again.”. So the leaders of the Philistines went up to the woman with silver in their hands.

Delilah made Samson sleep on her lap and called for someone to shave off the seven strands of hair on his head. So Delilah restrained him, and his strength left him.

Delilah said, Samson. The Philistines have brought you here. Samson woke up from his sleep and said to himself, “I want to go out and exercise like I did a few times before.”. But he did not know that the Lord had left him.

The Philistines captured him, gouged out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, binding him with bronze chains. He is grinding in the prison.

However, after his hair was shaved, it gradually grew back.

The leaders of the Philistines gathered together to offer a great sacrifice to their God Dagon and rejoice, because they said, Our God has delivered our enemy Samson into our hands.

When everyone saw Samson, they praised their God and said, “Our God has delivered into our hands the enemies who destroyed our land and killed many of us.”.

When they were having a feast, they said, ‘Call Samson to come and play before us.’. So he took Samson out of the prison and played with him in front of everyone. They made him stand between the two pillars.

Samsun said to the boy who was holding his hand, “Please let me touch the pillar supporting the house. I want to lean against it.”.

At that time, the room was filled with men and women, and all the leaders of the Philistines were there. On the flat roof of the house, there were about three thousand men and women watching Samson play.

Samson cried to the Lord, saying, Lord Jehovah, remember me. God, grant me strength this time so that I may avenge the Philistines for gouging out my eyes.

Samson hugged the two pillars supporting the house, holding one in his left hand and one in his right hand,

I am willing to die with the Philistines. He bent down as much as possible, causing the house to collapse and suppressing the leader and everyone inside. In this way, Samson killed more people when he died than when he was alive.

Samson’s brothers and all his father’s family went down to take his body, carried it up, and buried it between Zorah and Eshtaol in the tomb of his father Manoah. Samson judged Israel for twenty years.
