psalm_Chapter 5

O Lord, listen to my words and consider my thoughts.

My king, my God, hear the voice of my cry. Because I pray to you.

O Lord, in the morning you will hear my voice. In the morning, I will declare my thoughts to you and be vigilant.

Because you are not a God who delights in evil. Evil people cannot cohabit with you.

Proud people cannot stand in front of you. All who do evil are hated by you.

You will destroy those who tell lies. The Lord detests those who shed blood and engage in deceit.

As for me, I will enter your dwelling place with your abundant love. I will bow down to your temple in awe of you.

O Lord, lead me in your righteousness because of my enemies. Make your path straight before me.

Because their words lack honesty. Their hearts are filled with evil. Their throats are open graves. They flatter people with their tongues.

God, please condemn them. May they fall due to their own schemes. May you drive them out amidst their many offenses. Because they betrayed you.

May everyone who takes refuge in you rejoice and cheer constantly, for you protect them. May those who love your name rejoice in you.

Because you will bless the righteous. O Lord, you will protect him with grace like a shield on all sides.
