Isaiah_Chapter 50
Thus says the Lord, Where is the letter of divorce from your mother? Which creditor will I sell you to? You were sold because of your sins. Your mother was dismissed because of your wrongdoing.
Why was there no one waiting when I came? Why does no one agree when I call? Is my arm shortened and cannot be redeemed? Am I powerless to save? Look, as soon as I rebuke, the sea dries up, and I turn rivers into wilderness. The fish died of thirst due to their lack of water and foul odor.
I have clothed the heavens with darkness and covered them with linen.
The Lord God has given me the tongue of the learner, so that I may know how to use words to support the weary. The Lord reminds me every morning, reminding my ears so that I can listen like a learner.
The Lord has opened my ears, and I have not rebelled or turned back.
People hit me on the back, I let them hit me. People pluck the beard from my cheeks, and I let them pluck it. When someone insults me and vomits me, I don’t hide my face.
The Lord GOD will help me, so I am not ashamed. My face is as hard as a rock, and I know I will not be ashamed.
Those who call me righteous are similar to me. Who can argue with me and stand with me. Whoever is against me can come to me nearby.
The Lord Jehovah will help me. Who can convict me? They are all like clothes gradually getting old, bitten by moths.
Who among you is the one who fears the Lord and obeys the voice of his servants. This person walks in darkness without light, trust in the name of the Lord and rely on their own God.
Anyone who ignites a fire and surrounds themselves with a torch. You can walk in your flames and in the torches you light. This is what I set by hand. You will lie in misery.
