The Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

On the first day of the first lunar month, you shall set up a tabernacle,

Place the ark inside and cover it with a curtain.

Move the table in and set up the things on it. Move the lamp stand in and light the lights on it.

Install the golden altar for burning incense in front of the Testament, and hang the door curtain of the tabernacle.

Place the altar of burnt offering in front of the door of the tabernacle.

Place the washbasin between the tent of meeting and the altar, and fill it with water.

Set up courtyard curtains around and hang the door curtains of the courtyard.

And anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it with oil, and sanctify it and all its utensils, and it shall be sanctified.

And he shall anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and make it holy, and it shall be most holy.

To anoint the washbasin and its base, to sanctify the basin.

Bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting and wash themselves with water.

Put on Aaron the holy robe and anoint him to sanctify him, so that he may serve me as a priest,

And he will bring his sons and dress them in inner robes.

As I anoint their father, I will also anoint them, so that they may serve me as priests. From generation to generation, whoever is anointed will forever serve as a priest.

Moses did everything as the Lord commanded him.

On the first day of the first month of the second year, the tabernacle was erected.

Moses erected the tabernacle, set up the sockets, erected the boards, fastened the bolts, and erected the pillars.

Set up a tent above the tabernacle and cover it with its top, as the Lord commanded him.

And he put the Testament in the ark, and threaded the bars on both sides of the ark, and placed the mercy seat on the ark.

Bring the ark into the tabernacle, hang the curtain that covers the ark, and cover the ark of the testimony, as the Lord commanded him.

And he placed the table inside the tent of meeting, on the north side of the tent, outside the curtain.

And set the bread before the Lord on the table, as the Lord commanded him.

And he placed the lampstand inside the tabernacle of the congregation, facing the table to the south of the tabernacle,

Lighting a lamp before the Lord is as the Lord has commanded him.

Place the golden altar in front of the curtain inside the tent of meeting,

And he burned fragrant spices on the altar, as the Lord commanded him.

Hang the door curtain of the tent again.

Set up the altar of burnt offering in front of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and offer the burnt offering and grain offering on it, as the Lord commanded him.

Place the washbasin between the tent of meeting and the altar, and fill it with water for washing.

Moses, Aaron, and Aaron’s sons washed their hands and feet in this basin.

When they enter the tent of meeting or approach the altar, they all wash themselves, as the Lord has commanded them.

A courtyard curtain was erected around the tabernacle and altar, and the door curtain of the courtyard was hung. So Moses finished his work.

At that time, the cloud covered the tabernacle, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

Moses was unable to enter the tabernacle of the congregation, because the cloud rested on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

Whenever the clouds come up from the tabernacle, the Israelites set out on their journey.

If the clouds are not collected, they will not depart until they are collected.

During the day, the cloud of the Lord is above the tabernacle. At night, there is fire in the clouds, in the sight of all the Israelites on their journey.
