Ecclesiastes_Chapter 6

I see a calamity under the sun, weighing heavily on people.

It is when God gives a man wealth, abundance, and honor, so that he does not lack anything that he desires in his heart, but God prevents him from eating and using it, and outsiders come to eat and use it. This is emptiness and also a calamity.

If a person gives birth to a hundred sons and lives for many years, so that their days are many, but their hearts are not filled with happiness and they cannot be buried. As far as I know, the tire that falls out before it expires is better than him.

Because it came from emptiness, passed away in darkness, and its name was obscured by darkness.

And I have not seen the sky, nor am I aware. This fetus enjoys more peace than that person.

Although that person lived for a thousand years, and lived for another thousand years, he did not enjoy happiness. Isn’t everyone going to one place?

All human labor is for the mouth, but the heart is not satisfied.

So, what are the strengths of a wise person over a foolish one? What are the strengths of poor people who know how to do things in front of everyone?

What the eyes see is better than what the heart deludes. This is also emptiness and catching the wind.

All the previous ones have already been named. And know what a person is. He cannot compete with someone who is stronger than himself.

What benefits does it bring to people if there are many things that increase vanity?

The days wasted in a person’s life are like shadows passing by. Who knows what benefits him? Who can tell him what’s going on behind him under the sunlight?
