By the city gate, at the city gate, in the city gate cave, loudly say,

Everyone, I call out to you. I speak out to the world,

Saying, O fools, understand the spirit. O fools, understand in your hearts.

You should listen, because I want to say extremely beautiful words. I opened my mouth to discuss matters of integrity.

My mouth wants to speak the truth. My mouth abhors evil.

All the words in my mouth are righteous, without any bending or perversion.

Those who are clever think it is obvious, while those who are knowledgeable think it is upright.

You should receive my teachings and not receive silver. Better knowledge than gold.

Because wisdom is more beautiful than pearls (or rubies). Everything that can be loved is insufficient for comparison.

My wisdom resides in spirituality, and I seek knowledge and strategy.

Fear the Lord, but hate evil. I hate pride, arrogance, evil ways, and twisted mouths.

I have strategy and real knowledge. I am clever. I have the ability.

The emperor borrowed me to sit on the throne. The king borrowed me to establish fairness.

The prince and the leader, all the judges in the world, are in power through me.

Love me, I also love him. Those who earnestly seek me will be found.

Richness and honor are within me. Eternal wealth and justice also belong to me.

My fruit is better than gold. Strong as fine gold, my output surpasses high silver.

I walk on the path of righteousness and walk on the path of fairness.

Let those who love me inherit wealth and fill their treasury.

At the beginning of the Lord’s creation, before the creation of all things in the beginning, I was there.

From ancient times, from the beginning, before the world existed, I was established.

There is no abyss, no spring of water, I have been born.

Before the mountains were laid, before the small mountains, I was born.

The Lord has not yet created the earth, nor the fields, nor the soil of the world; I have given birth.

He stands tall in the sky, and I am there. He drew circles around the abyssal surface,

Above makes the sky hard, below makes the source stable,

Set boundaries for the sea, so that the water does not cross his command, and establish the foundation of the earth.

At that time, I was a craftsman with him and was loved by him day by day. I was always enthusiastic in front of him,

Be enthusiastic in the land he has prepared for people to live in, and rejoice in living among the people.

Children, now listen to me. Blessed are those who keep my way.

If you listen to teaching, you will gain wisdom; do not abandon it.

Blessed is the person who listens to me and looks up at my doorstep every day, waiting by my doorframe.

For whoever finds me will find life and will receive the grace of the Lord.

Those who offend me have harmed their own lives. Those who hate me love death.
