Paul, Silas, and Timothy, write to the church of Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

May grace and peace be upon you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Brothers, it is appropriate for us to constantly thank God for you. Because your faith has grown even more, and all of you have a strong love for each other.

Even we boast for you in all the churches of God, because you have continued to endure and have faith in all the persecutions and tribulations you have endured.

This is the clear evidence of God’s righteous judgment. So that you may be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, you are suffering for this kingdom.

God, being just, will repay those who have added trouble to you.

And he will bring peace with us, you who are in trouble. At that time, the Lord Jesus appeared from heaven with his powerful angel in the flames,

To repay those who do not know God and those who do not listen to the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

They will be punished, forever sinking away from the face of the Lord and the glory of his power.

This is precisely the day when the Lord comes to be glorified in his saints and to be seen as marvelous in all those who believe. (You also believe in the testimony we have made to you.)

Therefore, we often pray for you, that our God may see that you are worthy of the call you have received. And he fulfilled all the good that you envied with great power, and all the work done by faith.

Let the name of our Lord Jesus be glorified in you, and you also be glorified in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
