Praise him who caused great light, for his mercy endures forever.

He made the sun to govern the day, for his mercy endures forever.

He made the moon and stars to govern the night, for his love endures forever.

Give thanks to him who killed the eldest son of the Egyptians, for his mercy endures forever.

He led the Israelites out of their midst, for his mercy endures forever.

His mighty hand and outstretched arm, for his mercy endures forever.

Praise those who divide the Red Sea, for his mercy endures forever.

He led Israel through it, for his mercy endures forever.

But he overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea, for his mercy endures forever.

Give thanks to those who guide their people through the wilderness, for his mercy endures forever.
