psalm_Chapter 56

The Philistines captured David in Gath, and he wrote this golden poem to the music director, calling for a silent dove from afar. O God, have mercy on me, for they will devour me and attack and oppress me all day long.

My enemies will devour me all day long. There are many people who attack me out of pride.

When I am afraid, I will rely on you.

I rely on God. I want to praise his words. I trust in God and will not fear. What can the bloodthirsty generation do to me?

They always reverse my words. All their thoughts are trying to harm me.

They gathered in ambush to spy on my footsteps. Waiting is killing me.

Can they escape for their sins? O God, cause all the people to fall in anger.

I have been wandering a few times, and you can count them all. Please put my tears in your leather bag. Isn’t this all recorded in your booklet?

On the day I cry out, all my enemies will turn back and retreat. God helps me, this is what I know.

I rely on God. I want to praise his words. I trust in the Lord. I want to praise his words.

I trust in God and will not fear. What can people do to me?

God, the wish I have made to you is on me. I want to offer you a thank-you ceremony.

Because you saved my life from death. Have you not saved my feet from falling, so that I may walk before God in the light of life?
